About the role

South West Compressors is seeking a part-time Accounts Officer to join their team in Davenport WA 6230. As an Accounts Officer, you will play a key role in the company's finance department, responsible for ensuring accurate and timely processing of supplier invoices and payments. This position is perfect for a semi-retired accounting professional who is looking to work with a growing professional team but not full-time hours.

What you'll be doing

Process and record accounts payable and receivable invoices in a timely manner

Reconcile supplier statements and resolve any discrepancies

Maintain accurate records of all accounts payable transactions including purchase orders

Assist with the preparation of monthly accounts payable reports and payment runs

Liaise with internal departments and external suppliers as needed

Provide support to the accounts receivable and digital technology position as required.

Single touch Payroll, PAYG & Superannuation

Work with our contracted accounting firm to prepare BAS

Banking reconciliations

What we're looking for

Relevant experience in an accounting or similar administration role

Minimum 3-5 years of accounting or administration experience required

Strong attention to detail and excellent numerical skills

Proficient with myob accounting software and Microsoft Office programs

Full bookkeeping proficiency in MYOB required

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Accurate data entry and problem-solving skills

experience with payroll will be looked upon favourably

BAS qualification or similar will be looked upon very favourably

Australian citizenship required
