Role Overview:
The People and Safety Coordinator is responsible for a range of administrative duties across all stages of the employee lifecycle- from recruitment to offboarding. This role will provide support to STC Managers and employees through the People and Safety processes.
Contract and Hours of Work:
This role is a full-time permanent contract position, Monday to Friday (38hours), based at STC Wharf Offices. As Sydney Theatre Company is a live performance organisation, you will also be required to work outside these hours from time to time. STC does have flexible working arrangements and policies for managing after hours work as agreed with the supervising manager.
Selection Criteria:
- Tertiary qualifications in Human Resource Management or working towards qualification.
- Experience in general administration, with a focus on human resources or payroll administration.
- 1 year plus experience using an HRIS or rostering/payroll system. Human Force /IntelliHR preferred
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Strong organisational and time management skills including the ability to manage competing and/or changing priorities, and deliver to deadlines with high level of attention to detail
- Ability to communicate the correct interpretation of STC’s agreement, payslips, rosters and other pay related information
- Proficiency in Microsoft office suite and other applications/databases.
- Highly numerate with the ability to create and manage spreadsheets in Microsoft Excel.
- Excellent people skills including the ability to create rapport quickly and easily.
- High level of integrity – (dealing with sensitive and confidential information).
- Able to adapt to change, be self-motivated and work in a fluid environment.
- Results-oriented and can-do attitude.
- Tolerance for performing routine tasks to a high standard with high attention.
- A self-starter and an ability to self-motivate and to work as part of a team.
