Role Summary
The Safety and Plant Coordinator will be responsible for overseeing the transportation, storage, and delivery of goods and materials. This role will act as the link between site operations and safety leadership - supporting compliance, minimising risk, and ensuring our plant and equipment is fit for purpose.
Duties & Responsibilities
Plan and coordinate transportation of goods and materials, including negotiating contracts with carriers and logistics service providers.
Track and manage inventory levels to ensure timely delivery of goods and materials.
Develop and implement logistics strategies to minimize costs and improve efficiency.
Work closely with suppliers and customers to coordinate shipping schedules and resolve any issues that arise.
Monitor compliance with all relevant regulatory requirements, including those related to safety and environmental concerns.
Analyze logistics data to identify areas for improvement and implement process improvements.
Develop and maintain relationships with carriers, suppliers, and customers.
Manage a team of logistics personnel, providing leadership and direction to ensure that all logistics operations are running smoothly.
Provide regular reports to senior management on logistics performance, highlighting areas for improvement and making recommendations for changes.

Preferred Experience Requirements
• 3-5 years of experience in a similar role, preferably construction based.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with both internal and external stakeholders.
• Knowledge of software and systems that maybe used.
• Familiarity with regulatory requirements.
• Demonstrated ability to manage a team and ensure logistics operations are running smoothly.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Flexibility to work outside of normal business hours as needed.
Skill Requirements
Good Personnel management skills.
Strong interpersonal skills
Strong computer skills, emphasis on Microsoft Suite
Ability to work under pressure and cooperate to achieve maximum efficiency.
Organisation – the ability to understand and assist in the planning of new and existing activities.
Communication – the ability to communicate clearly, effectively and regularly with team members.
Minimum Certificate IV in Work Health and Safety (or working towards).
Experience in construction, mining, energy, or civil infrastructure.
Strong knowledge of WHS legislation, plant risk management, and ISO standards.
Ability to engage with crews and contractors to drive safe behaviours.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and safety/plant management systems.
Preferred Licenses / Qualifications
Driver’s License (Preferably MR or greater)
Cert IV In WHS
First Aid Certificate
ICAM
Cert IV TAE (Desired)
Physical Requirements
Fit and Healthy, able to work for 10-12 hours per day.

$110k - $140k Plus Super (Roster either 10:4, 3:1, pending location of project).
