About You

Trade-qualified (or equivalent) in pastry arts / baking with at least 2 years’ experience in a busy bakery, patisserie or cafe specialising in pastries/desserts

Strong technical pastry skills: tempering chocolate, lamination experience a must, tarts, cakes, decorative finishing, etc.

Excellent time management—able to plan prep work, manage production schedules and meet service demands

Committed to food safety, hygiene, cleanliness and consistency in product quality

Creative mindset: able to develop new pastry/dessert items, seasonal specials, plating / presentation ideas

Reliable and proactive, able to work both independently and collaboratively

Available at least one weekend shift per week; flexibility is a plus

Experience with stock and order management.

Key Responsibilities

Produce high-quality pastries, desserts, baked goods to the highest standard each service

Manage pastry station prep and organisation, ensuring efficiency during busy periods

Assist with recipe development, portion control and costing

Ensure all hygiene, food safety, and cleanliness standards are met and maintained

Monitor inventory / ordering for pastry supplies & ingredients in conjunction with kitchen management

Maintain consistency in product quality, appearance and presentation
