About the role

Tammy's Bakery is seeking an experienced Pastry Cook to join our skilled team in our East Victoria Park, WA 6101 location. As a Pastry Cook, you will be responsible for crafting delightful baked goods and desserts to delight our customers. This is a full-time role, offering the opportunity to work in a dynamic hospitality environment with a focus on producing high-quality pastries and confections.

What you'll be doing

Preparing and baking a variety of pastries, cakes, and other baked goods according to recipes and customer orders

Ensuring consistently high quality and presentation of all products

Maintaining a clean and organised work area to meet food safety and hygiene standards

Collaborating with the kitchen team to optimise production and workflow

Assisting with inventory management and ordering of necessary supplies

Providing excellent customer service and responding to any queries or special request.

Consulting with the executive chef and other chefs to plan menus.

Executing pastry orders for catered events and accommodating special requests.

Hiring , training and supervising pastry section staff as well as adhering to food industry regulations.

Preparing work schedules and keeping pastry sections records.

What we're looking for

Formal training or qualification in baking/pastry arts

Minimum 2 years of experience as a Pastry Cook or in a similar role

Strong attention to detail and ability to follow recipes precisely

Excellent time management and multitasking skills

Passion for creating visually appealing and delicious baked goods

Excellent communication and customer service skills

Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, collaborative kitchen environment

Availability to work early morning shifts, weekends and public holidays
