About The Client:

They are looking for a motivated, relationship-driven Business Development Manager to help grow our impact and strengthen our mission.

Role Overview:

As a Business Development Manager you will drive growth by building strategic partnerships, expanding our client base, and enhancing our market presence within the Disability Services sector. You will work closely with leadership, operations, and frontline teams to translate community needs into accessible services, while upholding our values of dignity, respect, and person-centred care.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop and execute a proactive business development plan to attract and onboard new clients and referral partners.

Build and nurture strong relationships with families, carers, community organisations, healthcare professionals, and allied providers.

Identify opportunities for new service lines and programs aligned with contemporary Disability Services and person-centred approaches.

Lead market research, competitor analysis, and demand forecasting to inform strategy and pricing.

Collaborate with operations and service delivery to ensure a seamless onboarding and induction for new clients.

Represent the organisation at community events, information sessions, and industry forums.

Champion cultural change and workforce capability development within the organisation.

Track, measure, and report on KPIs (new client acquisition, retention, revenue growth, partner satisfaction).

Maintain high levels of customer service, empathy, and professionalism in all interactions.

Leverage technology and CRM tools to manage pipelines, activities, and outcomes.

Steady pipeline of qualified opportunities and sustainable client growth.

Strong, trust-based relationships with clients, families, and referral networks.

Positive feedback from clients and staff on communication, responsiveness, and service quality.

Clear demonstration of person-centred, disability-aware practice in all engagements.

Effective cross-functional collaboration across sales, operations, and care delivery.

Requirements:

3+ years’ experience in business or customer service management; proven success in a customer-facing role within values-driven organisations.

Demonstrated experience in cultural change initiatives and workforce capability building.

Strong community engagement and relationship-building skills.

Solid understanding of contemporary Disability Services and person-centred approaches.

Excellent communication skills; able to adapt messaging to diverse audiences.

Proactive, goal-oriented, and confident in decision-making; strong problem-solving abilities.

Proven ability to manage multiple tasks, meet deadlines, and work independently.

High computer literacy and comfort with technology; experience with CRM systems preferred.

Empathetic, customer-focused, and business-savvy; able to connect with people from all walks of life.

Experience in Disability Services is highly desirable; business development or sales experience is essential.

Demonstrated business acumen and ability to network effectively across sectors.
