The Role

Evolve Talent are partnering with a leading civil contractor leading infrastructure and land development projects across the NSW region. We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead and deliver civil construction projects from planning through to completion. This role is central to ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to a high standard, while maintaining strong relationships with clients, contractors, and site teams. Our work spans a range of infrastructure and civil works projects.

Key Responsibilities

Project Management

Oversee day-to-day delivery of construction projects, ensuring scope, time, cost, and quality targets are met

Develop, monitor, and update project programs and schedules

Coordinate procurement of materials and subcontractors

Liaise with site teams to resolve issues and support technical delivery

Identify and mitigate risks across project lifecycle

Ensure compliance with statutory, safety, and environmental requirements

Manage project reporting, documentation, and client communications

Contract & Commercial Management

Support preconstruction handovers and project startup

Administer contracts, variations, and extensions of time

Track contractual obligations and maintain accurate documentation

Monitor subcontractor performance and manage invoicing

Financial Oversight

Work with finance teams to set and track budgets

Monitor costs, identify overruns, and implement corrective actions

Ensure profitability and financial performance across projects

Leadership & Team Collaboration

Lead and mentor site teams

Set clear expectations and provide ongoing feedback and support

Chair site meetings and ensure follow-through on agreed actions

Stakeholder & Client Management

Build strong client relationships to support repeat business

Provide timely updates on project changes and manage expectations

Contribute to business development and tendering when required

Quality, Safety & Environment

Uphold WHS and environmental standards across all sites

Ensure quality control processes are in place and adhered to

Investigate and resolve incidents or defects as they arise

About You

Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management or equivalent

Demonstrated experience in civil construction project management

Strong contract and commercial acumen

Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills

High standards in safety, quality, and environmental compliance

Strong organisational and leadership abilities

Ability to manage multiple priorities and work under pressure
