Work Health, Safety & Environment (WHSE) Advisors – Jandakot & Field Operations
Location: Jandakot, WA (one role factory-focused, one role field-focused)
Employment Type: Part-Time – 20 hours/week each (0.5 FTE, 3 set days per week including a crossover day)
Salary: Pro-rata $35,000 – $40,000 + super, based on FTE $70,000 – $80,000
About the Opportunity
Aquatic Leisure Technologies (ALT), WA’s leading fibreglass pool manufacturer, is seeking two part-time WHSE Advisors to strengthen safety across our operations.
Both roles carry the same requirements and responsibilities, with a different operational focus:
WHSE Advisor – Jandakot (Manufacturing & Production)
Based primarily at Jandakot, this role supports factory safety, production WHSE, and corporate WHSE responsibilities.
WHSE Advisor – Field Operations
Focused on installation and service teams across WA, with regular site travel. This role has a strong emphasis on subcontractor WHSE compliance and engagement, ensuring contractors operate to ALT’s standards. A company vehicle is provided for work travel.
Together, these positions provide ALT with 1.0 FTE WHSE coverage, ensuring continuous support across factory, field, and corporate WHSE functions.
Key Responsibilities
Operational WHSE (role-specific):
Provide trusted WHSE advice across production (Jandakot role) or field operations/subcontractors (Field role).
Conduct risk assessments, hazard identification, and implement safety solutions.
Deliver inductions, toolbox talks, and one-on-one coaching.
Lead incident investigations, root cause analysis, and return-to-work support.
Conduct audits, inspections, and maintain emergency response plans.
Corporate WHSE (both roles):
Contribute to monthly WHSE reporting and dashboards.
Support WHSE policy and procedure updates.
Assist with WHSE training, inductions, and audit programs.
Collaborate on ALT’s continuous improvement initiatives.
What You’ll Bring
Certificate IV or Diploma in Work Health & Safety (mandatory).
3+ years WHS experience in manufacturing, construction, logistics, or field service.
White Card and C Class Driver’s Licence.
Strong communication and coaching skills – able to engage across all levels.
Comfortable working with manual/paper-based WHSE systems, with initiative to improve processes.
(Desirable) Experience in subcontractor safety management and environmental compliance.
Work Pattern & Flexibility
Each role is 20 hours per week (0.5 FTE), across 3 set days per week.
Includes one crossover day where both Advisors are on duty to align on corporate WHSE tasks.
Salary is pro-rata with full entitlements, including annual leave, personal leave, and superannuation.
As ALT grows, these roles are expected to expand, with opportunities to step into a consolidated full-time WHSE leadership position.
