About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Safety Advisors to support road construction projects in the Kimberley regions in Western Australia. Working closely with Main Roads WA and their contractors, this role promotes a proactive safety culture and ensures compliance with Work Health and Safety (WHS) regulations, Federal Safety Commission (FSC) and Main Roads requirements.

Key Responsibilities

Work closely with Main Roads WA, contractors, and stakeholders to drive continuous safety improvement.

Provide expert WHS advice and ensure compliance with Federal Safety Commission (FSC) requirements.

Conduct risk assessments, site safety audits, and incident investigations.

Develop and implement safety management systems, procedures, and training programs.

Oversee the safe operation of heavy machinery and adherence to road construction safety standards.

Maintain detailed safety records and reports to meet legal and client requirements.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have:

Experience in road construction, preferably within Main Roads WA projects.

Strong understanding of heavy machinery operation and safety protocols.

Knowledge of Federal Safety Commission (FSC) accreditation and compliance.

Strong communication and leadership skills to engage with clients and contractors.

Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in remote locations.

Cert IV or Diploma in Work Health & Safety (or equivalent).

Current driver’s license and willingness to travel as required.
