About Us
Benson Bailey Studio is a boutique Fremantle-based architecture and interior design practice delivering thoughtful, context-driven work across hospitality, residential, hotel, commercial, and heritage projects.

We're currently shaping some of WA's most exciting projects, including:

A major precinct adaptive re-use redevelopment in East Victoria Park, transforming a historic hospital site into arts studios, produce gardens, hospitality venues, a market square, childcare centre and more.

A new multi-level hotel in the heart of Fremantle, now in Design Development.

A large hospitality venue in Geraldton spanning two historic theatres.

A growing portfolio of bespoke residential and commercial projects.

As our studio expands, we're looking for a register Project Architect and an Experienced Graduate of Architecture to join our team and take a leading role in delivering projects from design through to construction.

The Graduate of Architecture position requires a minimum of 3+ years of experience.

About You
You're a registered architect (or recently registered) with at least 5 years' experience. You're confident leading projects, coordinating with consultants and clients, and delivering well-documented, design-driven outcomes. You thrive in a collaborative environment and balance creativity with technical precision.

Valid Australian work rights are required for this position.

Key Responsibilities

Lead projects through all stages, from concept design to construction.

Prepare and deliver DA, tender, and construction documentation packages.

Manage coordination between consultants, clients, and contractors.

Guide and mentor junior team members, contributing to a collaborative studio culture.

Present work in design reviews, client presentations, and internal crits.

Support project planning, budgets, and deliverables with senior oversight.

Skills & Experience

Registered Architect in Australia and an Experienced Graduate.

Experienced Graduate candidates may obtain Australian architectural registration after appointment.

Minimum 5 years' post-graduate experience in practice.

Strong design and documentation skills with attention to detail.

Proficient in Revit (SketchUp and Enscape a bonus).

Excellent knowledge of NCC/BCA and local planning policies.

Strong communication, leadership, and team collaboration skills.
