About the Firm
This firm is a three partner, specialist accounting and corporate advisory firm based in Sydney CBD. It is a boutique firm with a family-oriented culture, which will enable a quick progression in your career to Senior Accountant. They operate as a multidisciplinary team of experts who provide strategic financial guidance and support across a range of services. This role is primarily focused on CFO Advisory such as M&A work, debt advisory, and capital raising. According to your personal interests, you can either do more tax and accounting or CFO and corporate advisory work. Beneficially, the firm is providing flexibility regarding the type of work you do.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage a team of 2-3 juniors.
• Provide CFO Advisory services including strategic planning and commercial decision-making.
• Ensure compliance with accounting and taxation regulations while offering tailored advisory services.
• Deliver support across M&A’s, capital raising, and debt financing.
• Manage complex financial statements and tax returns with matters including GST, CGT, FBT, and Div7A.
• Oversee tasks such as cash flow forecasting, budgeting, management accounting, and succession planning.
• Work closely with a wide range of clients and conduct in-person or virtual meetings.

Skills and Qualifications

• CA/CPA near completion or qualification.
• At least 3-4 years of experience within public practice.
• Australian or New Zealand permanent resident.
• Excellent communication skills and technologically adept.
