About the role

This is an exciting opportunity to join Carmody Accounting & Business Advisory as a Senior Accountant Client Advisor. In this full-time role based in Penrith, NSW, you will be providing strategic financial and business advisory services to support the growth and success of our valued clients.

What you'll be doing

Providing comprehensive accounting and tax services to a portfolio of small-to-medium sized business clients

Preparing & Reviewing annual financial statements, tax returns, and business activity statements

Advising clients on taxation planning, cashflow management, and other strategic financial matters

Identifying opportunities to improve client's financial performance and achieve their business goals

Building strong, long-lasting relationships with clients through exceptional service and proactive advice

Client communication through email, phone, video or in person.

Mentoring and training more junior members of the accounting team

Staying up-to-date with changes in tax legislation and accounting standards

What we're looking for

5+ years of experience in an Australian public practice accounting role.

Strong technical accounting and taxation knowledge, with a focus on small-to-medium business clients

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively liaise with clients and collaborate with the wider team

Proactive problem-solving abilities and a strategic mindset to identify opportunities for clients

Relevant tertiary qualifications, such as a Bachelor of Commerce or Accounting, and membership with a professional accounting body (CA or CPA)

Demonstrated experience in providing high-quality financial and business advisory services
