As part of our continued growth, we are seeking a skilled and passionate Chef (ANZSCO Code: 351311) to join our dynamic team.

Key Responsibilities:

Design and develop menus aligned with the patisserie’s concept and customer preferences.

Create new recipes and update existing ones to maintain a fresh and exciting menu.

Prepare and cook dishes according to standardized recipes and specifications.

Ensure all food is cooked to the appropriate temperature and presented attractively.

Oversee daily operations of the kitchen, ensuring smooth workflow.

Manage kitchen staff, including hiring, training, scheduling, and performance evaluations.

Conduct regular inspections of kitchen and storage areas to ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.

Monitor and manage inventory levels, placing orders for supplies as needed.

Adhere strictly to food safety and sanitation guidelines, including proper storage and handling.

Work closely with patisserie management and front-of-house staff to ensure seamless operations.

Provide ongoing training and upskilling opportunities for kitchen staff.

Assist in managing the kitchen budget, including labor and food costs.

Skills and Experience Required:

AQF Certificate IV or higher in Commercial Cookery or related qualification.

Minimum 1 year of’ relevant work experience as a Chef.

Strong knowledge of modern culinary techniques and kitchen operations.

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while ensuring quality and consistency.

Excellent teamwork, communication, and time-management skills.

Salary:
AUD $80,000 per annum before superannuation.
