About the role

As the Business Intelligence Analyst for our Resource Recovery Services, you will play a pivotal role in driving data-informed decision-making across the Resource Recovery functions. You will be responsible for conducting detailed analysis and generating insightful reports that directly influence the strategic direction of the section.

Working closely with internal stakeholders including Managers, Coordinators, the Contract Manager, and Administration Officers. You will ensure that operational performance is continuously monitored and improved through robust data analytics and reporting frameworks.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Leading regular reviews of systems and processes to identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Coordinating and managing business improvement initiatives to enhance service delivery.
  • Monitoring and reporting on service unit outputs to support performance tracking and accountability.
  • Supporting the development of policies through evidence-based insights.
  • Investigating and implementing emerging technologies to optimise operations.
  • Ensuring timely maintenance and troubleshooting of software and hardware to minimise downtime.

Remuneration

$104,541.32 - $117,368.68 + 12% Superannuation

Some of the required skills, experience and qualifications

Essential Criteria

  1. Tertiary qualifications in Information Technology, Waste/ Resource Recovery/ Environmental Science, or a related field and/or an equivalent course of study and relevant industry experience in data and business analysis.
  2. High level analytical and data processing skills with an ability to make recommendations based on the analysis of business requirements and needs.
  3. Demonstrated practical experience and knowledge of the business and/or data analysis requirements of a Local Councils Resource Recovery and Fleet Services section.
  4. Experience working with technology, including installing and configuring computer software and hardware.
