The Role:
With continued business growth, they are seeking a switched-on Legal Collections Officer to join their Springwood-based Legal Collections team. This role combines legal administration with debt collection, where you will identify suitable files for legal action and progress them through the legal collections process. You will prepare and file legal documents, manage case records, liaise with courts, and ensure compliance with all legal and regulatory requirements. You will also manage customer communication, investigation and skip trace activities, digital serving of documents, and play an important part in improving and streamlining internal processes.

This position would suit someone with experience in a legal collections environment and offers strong opportunities for career progression, as the company continues to expand.

The Role in more detail:

Review and recommend files for legal action.

Prepare, and file legal documents including statements of claim, default judgments, enforcement orders, and other relevant legal correspondence.

Proactively contact debtors by phone to negotiate payment arrangements

Conduct in depth investigations and skip tracing to determine file suitability for legal collections activity.

Monitor and control legal proceedings to maximise recovery efforts.

Liaise with solicitors, court officers, and internal stakeholders to coordinate legal activities.

Ensure all activity complies with all legal, regulatory and industry requirements, throughout the debt recovery process.

Stay updated on changes in debt recovery laws and best practices.

Maintain accurate case records, customer communications, and legal documentation.

Contribute to the ongoing improvement of processes.

Previous experience in a legal debt collections role would be ideal.

Knowledge of legal administration processes

Familiarity with skip tracing techniques

Awareness of regulatory and compliance requirements in debt collections.

The Rewards:
