The Role:

We are looking for Residential Care Officer who can work within a dynamic and high performing environment.

Key duties will include but not limited to:

· Provide essential support and care to individuals residing in residential care facilities by ensuring the safety, comfort, and well-being of residents while promoting independence and dignity.

· Assist residents with personal hygiene tasks such as bathing, grooming, and dressing according to their individual needs and preferences.

· Provide emotional support, companionship, and encouragement to residents, fostering a positive and supportive living environment.

· Help residents with mobility issues to move around safely, utilizing mobility aids as necessary, and implementing fall prevention strategies.

· Medication support ensuring correct dosages as prescribed, emergency medical first aid (including resuscitation), seizure response and invasive personal cares and health needs.

· Monitor client progress, prepare detailed reports, and communicate updates to stakeholders.

· Collaborate with community groups, welfare organizations, and government agencies to address client needs and raise awareness of available resources.

· Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation in compliance with industry standards.

Key Requirements:

Minimum 1 year of experience working in community services or a similar field.

Knowledge of relevant legislation and policies related to residential care services.

Ability to work collaboratively with clients, families, and a multidisciplinary team.

Empathy, patience, and a genuine commitment to promoting the rights and well-being of individuals with disabilities.

Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a compassionate and empathetic approach.

Ability to work both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.

Salary:

Salary: $ 77000 salary annually exclusive of superannuation
