About the role

Little World for Discoverers is seeking an experienced Educational Leader / Float Educator to join their passionate team at their centre in Oxenford, QLD. This part-time role is an excellent opportunity to make a meaningful impact in the lives of young children, while working in a collaborative and supportive environment.

What you'll be doing

Provide high-quality educational programs and experiences that support the development, wellbeing and learning of children

Collaborate with the Centre Director and teaching team to implement the centre's curriculum and pedagogical approach

Coach and mentor other educators, supporting their professional development

Observe and document children's progress, using this information to inform curriculum planning

Maintain a safe, nurturing and engaging learning environment

Build strong relationships with children, families and the wider community

Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and standards

What we're looking for

Diploma in Early Childhood Education

Significant experience as an early childhood educator, with a demonstrated ability to lead and inspire a team

Previous experience in an Educational Leader role or similar leadership position within early childhood education

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with children, families and colleagues

Strong organisational skills and attention to detail

Passion for supporting children's learning and development

Commitment to continuous professional development

Current first aid qualification, including anaphylaxis and emergency asthma management

Working with Children Check (or ability to obtain)

Minimum 3 years of experience as an early childhood educator, with at least 1 year in a leadership role
