About the Role
We are seeking a full-time Food & Beverage Attendant to join our front-of-house Reservations Team. This is a full-time position, paid hourly under our Enterprise Agreement. Working five days per week on a rotating roster, including weekends, you will play a central role in delivering the building meaningful guest relationships that Cafe Sydney is renowned for.

Unlike traditional reception roles, this position is explicitly floor-based and integrated into the guest experience.

As a hospitality reservationist, you will manage and coordinate bookings while also working closely with the service team to ensure guest flow, seating and communication are seamless from reservation through to dining.

Key Responsibilities

Managing reservations across phone, email and SevenRooms software

Providing a warm and professional point of contact for guests

Coordinating seating arrangements and guest flow with restaurant management

Assisting with cloakroom, table settings and transitions throughout service

Communicating accurately and professionally between guests and service staff

Supporting the front-of-house team to deliver a smooth, elevated dining experience

Cashiering and payment-taking support

About You

Minimum two years experience in a high-end, high-volume à la carte restaurant, ideally in reservations or host responsibilities

Clear, confident communicator across phone, email and in-person interactions

Well presented with exceptional attention to detail and professionalism

Proficient in reservation systems (experience with SevenRooms highly regarded)

Must hold a current RSA (or be willing to obtain prior to commencement)

Successful candidates will also be required to complete the NSW Food Authority Food Handler Basics training

Full availability across five shifts per week, including weekends

Must have full working rights in Australia (visa sponsorship is not available for this role)
