Leading Hand / Junior Foreman – Structural Works (Industrial Project)

The Role

We are seeking a Leading Hand or Junior Foreman to support the delivery of a technically complex industrial project in Salisbury. This is an ideal opportunity for someone ready to step up and grow into a larger site leadership role, working alongside a supportive and experienced team.

You’ll work under the guidance of a Site Manager and Project Manager, playing a hands-on role in coordinating structural works—particularly steel and concrete—ensuring site safety, sequencing, and quality are upheld.

Key Responsibilities

• Support day-to-day structural activities on-site in coordination with Site and Project Managers
• Lead and coordinate subcontractors, trades, and labour
• Monitor safety standards, contribute to toolbox talks and site audits
• Assist with quality control, sequencing, and site logistics
• Proactively identify and solve minor issues to keep works on track
• Contribute to a positive site culture that reflects Melrose’s values

About You

• 3+ years experience as a Leading Hand or similar role, ideally on industrial or structural works
• Trade qualified or solid construction background
• Strong communicator and natural team leader
• Understands site safety, quality standards, and construction programs
• Familiarity with platforms like HammerTech, Procore, or MS Project is a bonus
• Driver’s licence essential
• QBCC Site Supervisor Licence advantageous but not required
