Stormwater Pipe Layer Join Elevate Civil & Earthworks

Location: Newcastle/Central coast , NSW

Position: Full-time/Casual

Elevate Civil & Earthworks is looking for skilled Stormwater Pipe Layers and excavator operators to join our growing team. This is a hands-on role involving stormwater installation and site preparation for civil construction projects across the Sydney & Hunter Region.

About the Role:

As part of our team, you’ll be responsible for assisting with the installation of stormwater systems, working on residential and commercial projects. Key responsibilities include:

Job Responsibilities:

Stormwater Installation:

Installing pipes, pits, and ensuring correct alignment, slope, and sealing.

Excavating and preparing trenches for pipe installation.

Able to set KIP’s in the correct spot.

Site Coordination:

Assisting with material handling, including concrete, gravel, and pipework.

Coordinating with site managers and other crew members to maintain workflow.

General Labouring:

Supporting site preparation, clean-up, and maintenance.

Operating hand tools and basic machinery as needed.

Safety Compliance:

Following all site safety regulations and procedures.

Identifying and mitigating any potential hazards on-site.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

Experience:

At least 2 years of experience in civil pipe laying, specifically stormwater.

TEAM LEADER would be a strong advantage

Technical Skills:

Ability to read and understand site plans and engineering drawings.

Familiarity with various pipe materials and installation techniques.

Safety Awareness:

Strong understanding of workplace safety regulations.

Knowledge of safe excavation and trenching practices.

Physical Fitness:

Must be physically fit, as the role involves manual labor and working outdoors in various conditions.

Certifications & Licenses:

White Card (Construction Induction Training) — essential for working on construction sites.

Driver’s License for travel to and from job sites.
