Work Health and Safety Officer – Construction

About the Role

As our WHS Officer, you will:

Lead and mentor site teams to embed safe work practices across all projects.

Manage WHS across multiple sites, ensuring proactive risk management and compliance.

Drive continuous improvement in our WHS management system.

Maintain and oversee compliance with ISO standards (ISO 45001, ISO 9001, ISO 14001).

Conduct site inspections, audits, and risk assessments with confidence and authority.

Deliver engaging safety training and toolbox talks to staff and subcontractors.

Investigate incidents, provide recommendations, and implement corrective actions.

About You

Proven leadership experience, with the ability to influence and motivate teams.

A track record of managing WHS across multiple construction projects.

Strong knowledge of NSW WHS legislation and codes of practice.

Cert IV in Work Health and Safety (Diploma preferred).

Demonstrated experience with ISO management systems and audits.

Excellent communication skills and the confidence to engage with stakeholders at all levels.

Previous experience in education or health sector projects will be highly regarded.
