Your new role

Reporting to the Head of WHS, you will be responsible for shaping the safety culture and leading a team of WHS Officers to deliver high-impact safety and injury management programs across multiple sites. This is a pivotal leadership role that combines strategic oversight with hands-on operational delivery.

Key responsibilities include:

• Leading WHS and wellbeing programs using data-driven insights
• Managing WHS systems, including contractor management, incident reporting, and compliance
• Overseeing injury management and return-to-work programs
• Providing expert advice and training to managers and staff
• Developing site-specific risk management plans and ensuring legislative compliance
• Liaising with internal stakeholders, regulators, and external partners
• Supporting strategic direction and continuous improvement initiatives

What you'll need to succeed

• Formal qualifications in WHS and Return-to-Work
• Proven experience leading WHS teams in medium to large organisations
• Strong knowledge of WHS legislation and incident management
• Experience in internal auditing and policy development
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
• A current driver's licence and willingness to travel across regional locations
