This organisation is undergoing a strategic transformation in its approach to safety and wellbeing and is seeking a passionate and experienced WHS & Injury Manager to lead this change.
Your new role
Reporting to the Head of WHS, you will be responsible for shaping the safety culture and leading a team of WHS Officers to deliver high-impact safety and injury management programs across multiple sites. This is a pivotal leadership role that combines strategic oversight with hands-on operational delivery.
Key responsibilities include:
- Leading WHS and wellbeing programs using data-driven insights
- Managing WHS systems, including contractor management, incident reporting, and compliance
- Overseeing injury management and return-to-work programs
- Providing expert advice and training to managers and staff
- Developing site-specific risk management plans and ensuring legislative compliance
- Liaising with internal stakeholders, regulators, and external partners
- Supporting strategic direction and continuous improvement initiatives
What you'll need to succeed
- Formal qualifications in WHS and Return-to-Work
- Proven experience leading WHS teams in medium to large organisations
- Strong knowledge of WHS legislation and incident management
- Experience in internal auditing and policy development
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
- A current driver's licence and willingness to travel across regional locations
