We are a friendly and busy GP clinic seeking a Medical Receptionist to join our team.

Experience preferred but not essential, however prior use of Best Practice software is highly regarded.

Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment

Reliability and punctuality

Availability to work all day Friday and on weekends

Additional weekday availability is highly desirable

Responsibility

Timely and accurate administrative support to enable the clinic to run smoothly and efficiently.

Answering calls and checking emails

Open and close the Practice.

Facilitate patient consultations – appointment scheduling and reminders,

Facilitate service payments – collection of information, processing invoices and receipts, liaising with health funds, compensation and third-party claims.

Update data and information on the practice software, including incoming and outgoing correspondence.

Maintenance of general tidiness and cleanliness of all rooms.

Reconciliation of invoices and payments for banking

Other duties as directed by the Practice Manager.

Essential skills and experience include:

Previous General Practice experience with ability to use the Best Practice software.

Communicating effectively with diverse range of people both verbally and in writing.

Time management skills

Punctuality and Professionalism

Computer proficiency

Ability to work independently and as a team player.
