Are you a friendly, empathetic, and detail-oriented individual with experience in medical reception? Next Practice Braddon is seeking a full-time/part-time/casual Medical Receptionist (Patient Advocate) to join our rapidly growing team.

About the Role

We are looking for someone who shares our vision and philosophy of delivering outstanding care. As a Patient Advocate, your core purpose will be to perform medical administrative and customer service tasks proficiently and accurately, ensuring the smooth operation of our clinic. Previous experience in medical reception is essential.

Key Responsibilities:

Welcoming and receiving patients upon arrival.

Answering phone calls and addressing queries.

Scheduling patient bookings and appointments.

Processing and handling payments through Tyro, Medicare, DVA, and Workcover.

Managing incoming and outgoing email and fax correspondences.

Providing administrative support to practitioners.

Participating in team huddles and meetings.

Maintaining a clean and tidy work area, including general housekeeping tasks when necessary.

Staying informed about new healthcare and government regulations, programs, and incentives.

Adhering to practice policies and procedures.

About Next Practice Braddon

Next Practice Braddon opened in May 2023 and is owned and operated by two local Canberra GPs. We are a boutique clinic conveniently located in the heart of Canberra city. We offer a flexible roster and provide on-the-job training for staff eager to learn and grow with the team.
