About the Role
Eminence One is seeking an experienced Specialist Mechanical Engineer to provide high-level technical and governance support to a major mining operation in Moranbah. This is a key position focused on engineering governance, technical stewardship, and ensuring robust risk-based processes are embedded across the operation.

You’ll be joining a team committed to excellence, continuous improvement, and safe, effective engineering practices.

Key Responsibilities

Provide expert mechanical engineering guidance in line with operational priorities.

Ensure compliance with engineering change control processes and maintain high-quality documentation.

Lead and participate in technical design reviews and audits with a cross-discipline engineering team.

Govern and maintain the site’s engineering blueprint, including standards, drawings, specifications, and procedures.

Drive improvement initiatives aligned with business strategy.

Foster collaborative relationships with internal stakeholders, contractors, and suppliers.

Ensure Safety, Constructability, Operability, and Maintainability principles are applied throughout the design lifecycle.

Support site compliance with Recognised Standard 23 – Fluid Power Safety in Coal Mines.

Deliver technical support for fire detection and protection systems (fixed and mobile).

About You

Essential:

Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.

Demonstrated experience in technical engineering support within an operational or site-based environment.

Strong understanding of engineering risk assessments and change management processes.

Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.

Desirable:

Experience with bulk materials handling equipment (e.g., conveyors, stackers/reclaimers, draglines).

Familiarity with mobile earthmoving equipment.

Background in coal mining or heavy industry.
