Pro-rata 83,000 - $89,000 per annum + Super
Salary packaging of up to $18,550 per year

About the role:
Are you passionate about providing essential support that keeps organisations running smoothly? Melville Cares is seeking a dedicated Assistant Accountant to join our team at our Ardross location. This role is integral to our client service and organisational strength, focusing on accounting support across various essential tasks.
Key Responsibilities:
Month end accounting including journals, accruals, prepayments and reconciliations
Maintain Fixed Assets and depreciation schedules
Monthly BAS preparation
Assist with preparation of monthly management financial reports
Assist with processing invoices using automated systems like ProSpend and NetSuite
Assist with credit card acquittals
Assist with other finance and administrations functions as required
Communicate respectfully with all stakeholders
Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives
As the successful candidate, you must meet these selection criteria:
Minimum 2+ years’ experience in management financial reporting
Advanced Excel skills (xlookups, pivot tables, sumifs, graphs, tables, drop-downs etc)
Strong knowledge of finance systems and ability to confidently navigate modules such as AP, AR, Fixed Assets, Banking and Reporting
Exceptional analytical skills and proficient in using modern accounting and business systems (NetSuite, ProSpend, Employment Hero, AlayaCare)
Sound knowledge of and demonstrated experience in the application of accounting principles
High level of attention to detail and accuracy
Excellent communication, organisational and time management abilities
National Police clearance (less than 3 months old)
