Seeking a a highly experienced Contract Manager to manage a large scale complex ICT contract .

The FAD Vendor Management Office is seeking a highly experienced Contract Manager to manage a large scale complex ICT contract, monitor and manage vendor performance, lead contract negotiations, support procurement activities, and provide expert advice, in alignment with the Program’s objectives.

• Establish and manage multiple complex contracts and vendor relationships including with a large-scale ICT vendor.
• Support procurement activities and complex negotiations to maximise value for money.
• Monitor vendor performance against SLAs and contractual obligations and provide assurance regarding the status of contract deliverables.
• Identify, manage and escalate (where required) contract risks and drive process improvement.
• Development of contract management and procurement documentation in line with the department and public sector frameworks.
• Ensure contract compliance and oversee contract governance activities.
• Provide strategic advice and reporting on procurement and contract management activities to Executives.
• Ensure compliance with public sector procurement frameworks/policies and maintain high standards of probity
• Conduct market research and stay ahead of industry trends.

Mandatory Criteria

• Proven experience in managing contracts with software vendors and / or system integrators.
• Strong understanding of public sector procurement/contract management frameworks/policies and compliance requirements.
• Excellent negotiation and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to analyse data and make informed procurement decisions.
• Resilience, adaptability, and a collaborative mindset

Desirable Criteria

• A relevant tertiary qualification

Contract: Contract until 30 June 2026 with 2 x 12 months extension

Security Required: Baseline Security Clearance required

Location - Canberra Based
