HEQS Wholesales Group is a market leader in the Furniture and White Goods Appliances industry and holds an established but growing position in the sector. We are an Australian family-owned and operated business, established for over 20 years, and experiencing an exciting period of growth.
HEQS imports and wholesales over 1000 SKUs from our Reservoir warehouse and is constantly bringing new products to market. While we are well-established in the Melbourne Metro area, we are seeking an enthusiastic, energetic, and self-motivated sales representative to expand our business in Greater Melbourne, as well as the Northern and Western regional areas of Victoria. The primary focus will be on retail customers in the furniture and appliance sector, as well as wholesalers/distributors in the hospitality/accommodations sector.
About You:
We're looking for an ambitious sales professional with a drive to succeed. Join our VIC on-road Sales Team, focusing on the growing Greater Melbourne as well as the extended North and West regions, you will report directly to the National Sales Manager and work alongside our existing VIC Sales Representative.
Critical will be your ability and hunger to win market share and grow/strengthen relationships across the state.
The role encompasses: visiting established and potential new customers; selling in new product ranges; backfilling gaps in customer ranging, taking orders and driving customer traffic to our website; occasionally merchandising stores; conducting product education and training; completing call reporting; contributing to New Product Development idea generation and communicating with key decision makers to win new business. Some country travel will be required.
The package includes a salary based on experience, a fully maintained company car, superannuation, laptops, and a mobile phone. These items are also available outside work hours for personal use, providing additional salary package benefits. There is also the potential for performance-based bonuses.
Our ideal candidate will have:
Minimum of 2 years of selling experience as an on-road sales representative in retail and wholesale channels, preferably in furniture, appliances, or home goods sectors.
Experience selling a large number of SKUs across a broad range of customers is desired.
Highly enthusiastic and determined to grow and improve the existing business.
Learn quickly and can adapt to the company's operating methods & systems.
A desire to provide exemplary service to customers in a manner that achieves sales growth.
Excellent presentation and communication skills. Proficient computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite, CRM systems, and accurate data entry capabilities.
Experience with CRM platforms such as Salesforce, HubSpot, or similar sales management systems
Valid driver's licence with clean driving record (essential for on-road territory coverage)
Clean driving record with no major traffic violations in the past 3 years
Australian citizenship or permanent residency with unrestricted work rights
Ability to pass pre-employment background and reference checks
Ability to travel extensively across Greater Melbourne and regional Victoria, with occasional overnight stays
Physical ability to lift and move product samples up to 20kg and stand for extended periods during store visits
Secondary education (Year 12) or equivalent qualification
