Associate Business Analyst - Banking (Digital Projects)

The Aquarium is growing and we're looking for an ambitious Associate Business Analyst to work on-site with a leading Big 4 bank to join their digital project team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone at the beginning of their BA career, ideally with around 1-2 years' experience, to gain exposure to large-scale digital transformation within banking.

What you'll be doing

• Supporting senior analysts in gathering and documenting business requirements
• Assisting with process mapping, user stories and acceptance criteria
• Working closely with developers, testers, and product teams to ensure requirements are understood and delivered
• Participating in Agile ceremonies (stand-ups, sprint planning, showcases)
• Helping analyse and improve customer journeys for digital banking products
• Preparing documentation such as workflows, requirements, and reports

What we're looking for

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field (mandatory)
• 1-2 years' experience as a Business Analyst (internship or grad program considered)
• Exposure to banking or financial services projects - digital channels/projects highly regarded
• Strong communication skills with the ability to engage stakeholders
• Some experience with tools such as Jira, Confluence, Visio, or similar would be advantageous
• A collaborative mindset with a willingness to learn from experienced BA's
• Must be based in Melbourne and available to be onsite 3 days per week
