Position Summary – Front of House Staff (Restaurant Managers & Waiters)
At the Grand Terminus Hotel, we’re seeking passionate and professional Front of House staff to deliver exceptional guest experiences. Whether you're leading the team as a Restaurant Manager or providing attentive service as a Waiter, you’ll play a key role in creating a warm, welcoming, and memorable dining environment.
As a Restaurant Manager, you’ll oversee daily operations, lead and support the FOH team, and ensure service excellence. You’ll coordinate with kitchen and bar staff, manage reservations, and uphold high standards of hospitality, presentation, and compliance.
As a Waiter, you’ll be responsible for setting and arranging tables, greeting guests, taking reservations, and providing knowledgeable recommendations on food and wine. You’ll take and relay orders, serve food and beverages, handle payments, and maintain a clean and organised dining area.
Both roles require a strong customer focus, attention to detail, and a commitment to upholding the Grand Terminus Hotel’s reputation for quality and service.

Restaurant Manager
Primary Responsibilities:
· Oversee daily front-of-house operations to ensure smooth service.
· Lead, train, and motivate FOH staff to deliver outstanding guest experiences.
· Manage reservations, customer feedback, and service standards.
· Coordinate with kitchen and bar teams to maintain seamless communication.
· Monitor inventory, ordering, and compliance with health and safety regulations.
· Assist with rostering, budgeting, and performance reviews.
Essential Requirements:
· Proven experience in a similar managerial role
· Diploma in Hospitality or equivalent
· Minimum 3 years of full time work experience
· Strong leadership and communication skills
· Ability to work in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment
· Knowledge of POS systems and hospitality software is a plus
Waitstaff
Primary Responsibilities
· Set and arrange tables to ensure a welcoming dining environment.
· Take reservations, greet guests, and present menus and beverage lists
· Recommend dishes and wines to complement meals (especially in fine dining).
· Take orders and relay them to kitchen and bar staff accurately
· Serve food and beverages, including opening bottles and mixing drinks
· Clear tables, return dishes to the kitchen, and maintain cleanliness
· Handle payments and operate POS systems and cash registers
Essential Requirements:
· Minimum of 3 years relevant experience
· Certificate III in Hospitality or equivalent
· Excellent customer service and communication skills
· Ability to multitask and work efficiently under pressure
· A friendly, professional attitude and team-oriented mindset
