REED are seeking applications for the position of IT Officer. Are you a proactive and solutions-focused IT professional with a passion for supporting people and maintaining reliable systems? Join our team as an IT Officer and play a critical role in supporting our Head Office and more than 25 regional Early Childhood Education and Care (ECEC) services.
ABOUT YOU
In this vital role, you will provide frontline IT support to Head Office and regional service staff, ensuring hardware, software, and systems operate efficiently. You will be responsible for maintaining IT infrastructure, safeguarding data through strong cybersecurity measures, and ensuring staff can work effectively using business applications and cloud platforms. The ideal candidate will be skilled in troubleshooting, proactive in improving systems, and motivated by the opportunity to make a difference across a large regional organisation.

Regional Early Education and Development (REED) is a multi-site Early Childhood Education and Care (ECEC) service with currently 26 centers located throughout Regional Western Australia.

POSITION /RESPONSIBILITIES
· IT and Computer System Support
o Provide frontline support to all sites, ensuring hardware, software, and connectivity operate effectively. Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues efficiently, minimising disruptions to daily operations. Assist staff in effectivelyusing business applications, communication tools, and remote access systems.
· IT Infrastructure Set Up and Maintenance
o Manage the installation, configuration, and ongoing maintenance of IT infrastructure across the organisation. This includes monitoring system performance, updating software, and coordinating the procurement, rollout and uniformity of new equipment and setups. The role ensures that infrastructure remains reliable, efficient, and responsive to the organisation’s evolving needs.
· Cybersecurity and Confidentiality
o Safeguard organisational data by implementing and monitoring strong security protocols. Ensure compliance with privacy legislation and maintain the confidentiality of sensitive information across all systems. Educate staff on safe IT practices, reducing risks and promoting a secure digital environment.
Collaboration and Continuous ImprovementWorking closely with the Head Office team to ensure IT systems align with organisational objectives. Contribute technical expertise to organisational projects and system upgrades. Be the primary point of contact for 3rd party providers including but not limited to Internet, phone systems, device management, software providers and any other third party providers. The role also identifies opportunities to improve efficiency and service delivery through innovative use of technology.
· Adhere to child safe policies and act with commitment to the philosophy of a child safe organisation.
REMUNERATION AND BENEFITS
· The position is part time, 38 hours a fortnight, onsite (this is not a remote role).
· Working hours Monday through to Friday
· Salary (recommended $85 to $93K per annum pro rata)

REQUIRED SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, QUALITIES, EXPERIENCE, AND QUALIFICATIONS
· Current Western Australian WWCC.
· Current national police clearance.
· Commitment to the philosophy of a Child Safe Organisation
· A Diploma, or an Advanced Diploma level qualification in IT.
· 2+ Years experience in an IT role within a corporate office environment.
· Proficiency in Windows operating systems and computer networking, cloudbased telecommunications and system policy and governance.
· Strong problem-solving skills to identify and resolve technical issues.
· Excellent communication and customer service abilities.
· Ability to manage multiple tasks and work efficiently under pressure.
· Excellent communication skills, both in writing and speaking.
· High level of computer literacy and familiarity with Microsoft 365 Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Teams) and other IT systems such as cloud-based data sharing.
