Administrative Officer
Our client is a well-established and growing electrical company known for delivering high-quality services across commercial, residential, and industrial projects. They are currently seeking a proactive and detail-oriented
Administrative Officer to join their team and support the smooth day-to-day operations of the business.
Your Responsibilities:
- Coordinating office activities, handling calls, emails, mail, and maintaining records and databases
- Assisting with staff schedules, travel arrangements, and meeting organisation for management and staff
- Monitoring office supplies and preparing documents, reports, and presentations
- Supporting payroll by collating timesheets, checking staff hours, and assisting with general accounts tasks
- Assisting Project Managers with freight coordination and updating the company scheduling system
- Maintaining registers and service records for equipment, ladders, and vehicles
- Supporting WHS documentation and compliance (SWMS, vehicle registers, office safety checks)
- Performing light office upkeep (meeting rooms and common areas – cleaners attend regularly)
- Assisting colleagues and management with a range of administrative tasks as required
Requirements:
- Previous experience in administration, with exposure to payroll and accounts support
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and accounting software (e.g., Xero, MYOB)
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to multitask and manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- A proactive and team-oriented mindset
Highly Regarded (but not essential):
- Experience in the electrical, construction, or service industries
- Familiarity with WHS processes and documentation
- Experience maintaining registers for vehicles, equipment, or other assets
