We’re seeking a compassionate and reliable Disability Support Worker to join our team in Wantirna South, supporting a male participant with personal care, daily living and community access.
About the Role:
You’ll be working alongside a female staff member to provide person-centred support, including:
Personal care
Meal preparation
Grocery shopping
Community access
Use of a ceiling hoist for transfers
(Participant uses a motorised wheelchair)
Support is provided 7 days a week, with 2–3 shifts per day. We're currently seeking someone to cover relief shifts, with the opportunity to build a regular roster with this participant and others in the South Eastern suburbs.
About You:
You have experience in personal care and disability support (including hoist transfers)
You are dependable, patient, and proactive
You hold relevant clearances (e.g. WWCC, NDIS Worker Screening, First Aid)
You live within a reasonable distance from Wantirna South

Key Responsibilities:
- Providing one-on-one support to participants in their homes and community
- Assisting with personal care tasks such as bathing, dressing, and grooming
- Supporting participants in developing life skills and achieving their goals
- Promoting community participation and social engagement
- Documenting participant progress and providing detailed, accurate shift notes
Qualifications:
- Certificate III or IV in Disability Support or a related field
- Current First Aid and CPR certification
- Victorian Employee Working with Children Check
- NDIS Worker Screening Check
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Compassion, empathy and a genuine desire to make positive impact on the lives of others
