PATA Support Services is seeking a Disability Support Worker to join our team in SHEPPARTON. As a casual Disability Support Worker, you will be responsible for providing high-quality, person-centred support to individuals with a range of disabilities, empowering them to live independently and achieve their personal goals.
What you'll be doing
Assist clients with daily living activities such as personal care, meal preparation, and household tasks
Facilitate social and recreational activities to promote community inclusion and enhance the wellbeing of clients
Provide emotional support and encouragement to clients, advocating for their needs and preferences
Maintain accurate records and documentation to ensure compliance with organizational policies and procedures
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement personalised support plans
Uphold the principles of dignity, respect, and empowerment in all interactions with clients
What we're looking for
A relevant qualification in Disability Support, Community Services, or a related field
Certificate III in Individual Support (Disability) or Certificate IV in Disability
Experience in providing person-centred support to individuals with a range of disabilities
Minimum 12 months' experience in providing person-centred support to individuals with a range of disabilities
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and work effectively with clients, families, and colleagues
A compassionate and empathetic approach, combined with a commitment to upholding the rights and autonomy of individuals with disabilities
Flexibility and adaptability to accommodate the diverse needs and schedules of clients
A valid driver's licence and access to reliable transportation
A valid driver's licence and own reliable, insured vehicle for community access and transport duties

A current First Aid Qualification.
Current First Aid and CPR certification
NDIS Worker Screening Clearance.
NDIS Worker Induction.
We are looking for staff who are naturally positive and caring.
Flexible and available to work a mix of day, evening, overnight (sleepover) and weekend shifts.
Working with Children Check (if supporting clients under 18 years)
