About the role

We are on the lookout for a dynamic, proactive individual to take on the pivotal role of Laboratory Technician. Joining the Research and Development Team, this role is not just a job, but a journey into the heart of a fast-paced, innovative environment, perfectly suited for a recent chemistry/science graduate who enjoys laboratory work and has a genuine interest in in the application and use of hair and skin-care products.

Key Requirements/Duties

Prepare formulations & samples of cosmetic & TGA (therapeutic) products for experimental investigation as well as samples to be sent to customers for evaluation.

Prepare, evaluate, change, control and approve cosmetic batch documentation, including in-process testing specifications, formulation updates, manufacturing methods and bills of materials (BOMs) in Ostendo and Excel.

Maintain equipment and materials in the laboratory, including performing pH meter calibrations and arranging the external calibration of the viscometer in accordance with its schedule.

Prepare Technical documentation to support product regulatory compliance and maintain awareness of global regulatory frameworks.

Provide technical assistance to management and production staff.

Liaise with contract laboratories and suppliers

About you

A tertiary qualification in Chemistry, Cosmetic Science, or related field.

Current Drivers License (Essential)

Previous experience as a Laboratory Technician, Laboratory Assistant, or similar laboratory-focused role.

Knowledge of GMP, cosmetic formulation & global regulatory frameworks (preferable).
