A Fixed Term Contract of Eight (8) months for an Administration Assistant has become available, within the Patient Services team at St Vincent’s Private Hospital.

Reporting directly to the Nurse Unit Manager – Patient Services, the Administration Assistant will be responsible for:

· The day to day administration for all patients admitted to St Vincent’s Lismore.

· Collaboration with all personnel involved in the planning and preparation and care of patients admitted to St Vincent’s Lismore.

· Ensuring all service delivery is outcome based and consumer centered.

· Planning for the patient admission with an emphasis on demand management and seamless integration with other service components.

To be successful, applicants will need to possess the following:

· Demonstrated experience in the day to day administration of patient admissions would be desirable

· Demonstrated experience and aptitude in the use of basic computer applications including Microsoft Office and other applications

· Previous experience working within a front line customer service environment and delivering a professional, empathetic and personalised approach to customers

· Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to relate effectively with a diverse range of patients, the general public and our caregivers

· Effective time management skills and demonstrated ability to prioritise workload

· Ability to work in a team environment with a flexible approach to the requirements of a shift roster

St Vincent’s Hospital, Lismore is a not-for-profit acute Surgical Medical Hospital operating under the auspices of the Trustees of The Roman Catholic Diocese of Lismore since 1921.
