APS4 Practice Officer
Location: Maroochydore, QLD & Lismore, NSW
Contract Duration: Approx. 12 months
Hourly Rate: $44 – $50 per hour + super
About the Role We are seeking motivated Practice Officers to provide frontline client support and administrative services within a busy and rewarding environment. Working as part of a multidisciplinary team, you will play a key role in assisting veterans and their families to access mental health and wellbeing services.
This role involves a combination of reception, customer service, office management, and administrative support to regional clinical service staff. You will also assist with client referrals, program coordination, and operational support to ensure quality service delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide front-of-house and reception services, including telephone and in-person client support.
- Deliver administrative support across all service delivery streams, including data entry, record keeping, and correspondence.
- Act as the first escalation point for client, provider, and stakeholder queries.
- Manage client referrals to internal and external providers, including handling client information and system updates.
- Support the coordination of group programs and mental health workshops.
- Assist with onboarding and induction of new employees and contracted health providers.
- Perform financial tasks including procurement documentation, invoice processing, and expenditure tracking.
- Provide office management support for facilities, assets, IT, and travel needs.
- Assist with reporting, compliance, quality assurance, audits, and operational data collection.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, providers, and stakeholders.
Key Skills & Experience
- Demonstrated experience in business operations, administration, or service delivery support within a health service or government environment.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- High level of organisational skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to build rapport with clients and stakeholders.
- Competence in using IT systems and managing client information.
Mandatory Requirements
- Currently hold, or have the ability to obtain, a Working with Vulnerable People registration or Working with Children Check.
- Relevant professional experience in administration and service delivery support.
