This well established, 100% Australian owned freight forwarder is seeking an experienced Airfreight operator that is self-managed, and highly capable of managing some of their key customers. As well as Air & Sea freight international freight services, this organization offers a wide range of logistics solutions from brokerage to 3PL warehouse and distribution solutions all around the globe.

As their airfreight expert, your responsibility will be to oversee air cargo movements and manage a diverso portfolio of customers engaged in global trade.

As an Air Specialist, your responsibilities will include:

Handling day-to-day air operations.

Managing a customer base and addressing their inquiries on a regular basis.

Implementing best practices and generating Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) aligned with customer Key Indicators (KPIs) and expectations.

Assisting the sales department in invoicing, costing, and implementing new business initiatives.

Communicating with other departments internally that supports documentation & processing to support best practices.

Establish a good rapport with international and local airlines.

Assist with negotiations and quote generation.

Support and generate where possible new business opportunities and trade lanes

To be considered for this role, you should demonstrate:

A minimum of one to three years' experience in a similar position with a local freight forwarder. Salary will depend on the candidates' experience.

Proficiency in using Cargowise for operations.

Experience in managing customer expectations within the forwarding industry.

This position will be located in the office five days a week. The person MUST have freight forwarding experience.
