About the Role
As the Construction and Maintenance Field Staff, you will:
Carry out all work activities associate with the repair and maintenance of roads, footpaths, drainage systems, kerbs, traffic devices and other Council infrastructure.
Organise and accept delivery of supplies of goods and services for the timely completion of works projects.
Check materials delivered against delivery dockets.
Liaise with residents, members of the public, service utilities, contractors and other Council branches during the works.
What You’ll Bring
Demonstrated experience within the civil construction or civil maintenance industry
Good interpersonal skills, including oral and written communication and the ability to discuss and resolve issues
WHS certification (White Card or similar) or willingness to obtain
A good level of physical fitness and able to carry out labouring duties
Self-motivated and takes pride in achieving a good, finished product
Desirable
RMS Traffic Controllers Ticket
Possess other heavy plant licences/ certificates e.g. backhoe, forklift
Class MR Drivers Licence
