Working in a small team, you will be responsible for a wide range of repairs and maintenance, which includes implementing any preventative maintenance programs. You will need to be able to competently and enthusiastically manage the small maintenance team, to ensure that our busy 120 room hotel is operating to it's full potential. Must have initiative, self motivated and be able to work well under pressure. As well as being experienced you will be customer focused and well groomed, able to communicate well with guests and fellow team members. Very versatile position with a wide range of duties from housekeeping to maintaining the common areas of a four star hotel and attending to in room maintenance issues.

The successful applicant must be on call seven nights a week for any guest emergencies, such as maintenance issues or noise complaints. Also required to work five days a week, with two rostered days off a week, Tuesday and Wednesday or Wednesday and Thursday, You also must be available to work weekends, with one weekend off a month. In return the successful applicant will be provided with rent free accommodation and utilities, in a two bedroom apartment within the Landmark Resort complex in Nelson Bay, Port Stephens. As part of the requirements of the Caretaking position, you are required to be on call from 6:00pm each evening midweek and 5:00pm on weekends/public holidays for any after hour calls from guests and you are then required to lock the property up at 9:00pm. Please note after reception closes, our after hours service team answers any calls and only emergencies or urgent maintenance requests are passed onto you to address. Also on Friday and Saturday nights, we have a Security guard who will be able to assist with any call outs.
