We have an exciting opportunity to join the Teman team as Maintenance Officer across three of our communities, Rosedale by Teman in Cooranbong, Ridge Estate by Teman in Gillieston Heights, and The Vines by Teman in Cessnock. You’ll be reporting to the Village Managers in each village, and you’ll be part of a team that takes pride in helping people.
Being a perfect Teman Maintenance Officer means you’re handy with a tool, know how to fix things, and work through problems. No job is too small. Just as importantly, you love people, enjoy going out of your way to help others, and pride yourself on your work.
Having our communities look beautiful is of vital importance. A village that looks beautiful generates pride and happiness throughout the community. As Maintenance Officer, it is your responsibility to keep that pride and happiness high by maintaining the appearance of the village and attending to maintenance issues as they pop up. You’re the person everyone is happy to see, because things are always much better once you’ve done your thing.
As a Maintenance Officer you would be responsible for;
Greet everyone you see throughout the day by their first name. (Don’t worry, you’ll learn them all in no time)
Maintain a high standard of work within all areas of the village spaces
Maintenance and general repairs in relation to the resident’s units as logged through the Village Maintenance Reporting System
Regularly checking and maintaining Village Communal open spaces and built spaces
Work through the tasks on the Village Maintenance Schedules
Provide input into the village Maintenance Budget and assisting the Village Manager to remain within the yearly budget allocation
Collect and maintain rubbish bins from around the village for rubbish disposal
Spray all weeds and pests when required to common areas
Assist residents with personal garden areas when required
Arrange and schedule all repairs and or maintenance to all tools and equipment
Keep the village workshop space tidy and up to date with WHS guidelines
Ensure all major works have been approved by Village Manager before commencement
Participate in the annual village safety inspection and the annual village villa inspections
Providing advice to the Village Manager on replacement plants. Replacement plants must be species which comply with the villages overall strategy to provide water tolerant, low maintenance and aesthetic looking outcomes
Assist in the security of the grounds when on duty
At all times be on the alert for any WHS issues which may arise and need to be bought to the immediate attention of the Village Manager.
At all times exercise and maintain the highest respect for the village residents and guests.
On occasions, drive the village bus and take residents on outings.

Key Skills and Qualifications
Current First Aid certificate
Current driver’s licence
Demonstrate capability and experience in carrying out maintenance of buildings and grounds.
An ability to respond well to emergency situations.
Mandatory Requirements
Annual Flu Vaccination
National POLICE check documentation.
Wearing of steel capped boots
Basic computer skills
Standard Australian Drivers License
