About the Role:
As our Medical Receptionist, you will be at the centre of our practice's operations. Your days will be varied and rewarding, involving a dynamic mix of administrative duties and patient interaction. You will be instrumental in ensuring a seamless and caring experience for our patients and providing crucial support to our medical team.
Your Key Responsibilities will include:
- Being the friendly and professional voice of our practice, managing all incoming communications.
- Coordinating patient appointments, theatre lists, and medical results with efficiency and empathy.
- Liaising with patients, their families, GPs, and other health professionals.
- Managing administrative tasks with a high level of accuracy, including typing, filing, billing, and maintaining patient records.
- Assisting our clinical team during procedures and examinations.
- Contributing to a safe, clean, and welcoming practice environment.
Who We Are Looking For:

- A minimum of Year 12 or equivalent educational qualification.
Desirable Attributes:
- Previous experience in a medical or allied health reception role, particularly within women's health.
- Proficiency with medical billing (MBS), practice management software (especially Gentu), and Apple iMac computers.
- A solid understanding of medical terminology.
Position Details:
- Hours: Full-time, 37.5 hours per week, with a requirement for reasonable additional hours as needed.
- Review: The position will be reviewed after three months, and annually thereafter.
Essential Requirements for Applicants:
- Current Australian work rights.
- Current Australian National Police Check and a Vulnerable Person-Related Employment Check for SA.
- Up-to-date vaccinations (Influenza, Hepatitis B, Whooping Cough, COVID-19).
- Current CPR training (or willingness to obtain).
- CPR training must be completed within 3 months of commencing employment.
