We're looking for a flexible and resourceful individual to join our Sydney team. This role requires you to think creatively and seamlessly transition between serving customers on the sales floor, fulfilling orders in the back, and even making deliveries when necessary.
Key Responsibilities
Sales & Customer Account Management
Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing and potential customers.
Manage the sales pipeline from lead generation to closing deals.
Provide exceptional customer service and support, addressing inquiries and resolving issues promptly.
Process orders, manage deliveries, and ensure customer satisfaction.
Identify opportunities for upselling and cross-selling products/services.
Collaborate with internal teams to ensure seamless customer experience.
Maintain accurate customer records and sales activity in the CRM system.
Achieve individual and team sales targets.
Stay updated on product knowledge and industry trends.
Retail Duties
Oversee daily retail operations, ensuring a clean, organized, and inviting store environment.
Manage inventory, including stocking shelves, monitoring product levels, and conducting regular stocktakes.
Handle cash and credit transactions accurately and efficiently using the POS system.
Assist customers with product selection, providing information and recommendations.
Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
Process returns and exchanges according-to company policy.
Warehouse Duties
Manage incoming and outgoing inventory, including receiving, sorting, and dispatching goods.
Operate forklifts and other warehouse equipment safely and efficiently.
Maintain a tidy and organized warehouse, ensuring proper storage and accessibility of products.
Conduct regular cycle counts and assist with annual stocktakes.
Prepare orders for shipment, ensuring accuracy and proper packaging.
Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures in the warehouse.
Collaborate with the sales and retail teams to fulfill orders and manage stock levels.
Delivery Duties
Safely and efficiently transport goods to customers' locations.
Plan and optimize delivery routes to ensure timely and cost-effective deliveries.
Load and unload vehicles, ensuring proper handling and securing of products.
Verify delivery contents with customers and obtain necessary signatures.
Address any delivery-related issues or customer concerns professionally.
Maintain a delivery vehicle in good working condition, performing routine checks and reporting any maintenance needs.
What We're Looking For
Experience in trade sales, retail, warehouse, or a building supply environment (preferred)
Strong sales initiative and confidence to manage and grow customer relationships
Ability to prepare accurate quotes and follow up professionally
A proactive, positive attitude with strong attention to detail
Good communication and customer service skills
Physical ability to lift and move boxes and materials as required
A full, clean driver's license (required)
A current forklift license (preferred but not essential)
Full working rights in Australia
