Council is offering the opportunity for a suitably qualified and experienced civil engineer to join the Project Delivery and Assets Department as Team Leader Engineering and Assets, based within Council’s Infrastructure Directorate. This role primarily consists of:

Leading the Engineering and Assets team in order to strategically future proof all infrastructure and community assets, Council’s property portfolio and ensure they are commercially sustainable and effectively managed across their lifecycle.

Provide high level technical leadership to sustainably lead and manage the engineering services contract.

Ensure consistent application of relevant Australian Standards and industry guidelines across all development and design projects.

The successful applicant will have extensive experience in this field of civil engineering and hold a degree in Civil Engineering with registration or eligibility for registration as a Professional Engineer in line with the Professional Engineers Registration Act 2019.

Extensive knowledge of sustainable asset management, with a high level understanding of the Local Government Act 2020 and its requirements for strategic asset management are required as well as demonstrated experience in managing a multi-disciplinary team and overseeing external contractors.
