We’re looking for a passionate and skilled Software Engineer to join our development team. You’ll help enhance and expand our suite of electrical design tools, working closely with electrical engineers and developers to deliver high-performance, user-friendly software that meets industry standards, operates effectively across different platforms and meets clients' needs for efficient electrical design and reporting.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop and maintain software applications for electrical design, cable sizing, and voltage drop calculations.

Collaborate with engineers to translate technical requirements into functional software features.

Implement algorithms for electrical system modelling and simulation.

Optimize performance and ensure accuracy of engineering calculations.

Contribute to UI/UX improvements for better user experience.

Participate in code reviews, testing, reporting and documentation.

Maintaining highly integrated, manufacturer-based information within the software

Required Skills & Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in software engineering, Computer Science, or Electrical Engineering.

Proficiency in programming languages such as SQL, C++, and C#,.

Experience with engineering or scientific software development.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.

Desirable Skills:

Experience with desktop application development (e.g., .NET, Qt). The primary target platform is currently Microsoft Windows.

Knowledge of BIM-MEP AUS standards or integration.

Familiarity with electrical design principles and standards (e.g., AS/NZS 3000).

Familiarity with Autodesk AutoCAD and Autodesk Revit software.

Familiarity with C++ development using Embarcadero® C++Builder. This is the primary IDE used for building our electrical design tools.

Familiarity with C# development using Microsoft Visual Studio.

Understanding of power systems, load flow analysis, and cable sizing methodologies.

Willing to develop solid technical knowledge regarding manufacturers, equipment and requirements
