Join the Dennis Transport Team as a Freight Officer – Port Lincoln

Dennis Transport is looking for a motivated Freight Officer to join our Port Lincoln operations team. This role is an essential part of our business, ensuring the smooth coordination of daily freight activities and providing outstanding service to our customers.

Hours:

Start time: 9:00am

Overtime: As required

What you’ll be doing:

Preparing, processing, and managing freight documentation

Handling phone, email, and in-person freight enquiries

Entering operational data into our freight management system

Maintaining and verifying accurate records

Assisting in coordinating freight movements

Creating manifests for both line-haul and local freight

What we’re looking for:

Strong attention to detail and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment

Excellent communication and problem-solving skills

Proficiency in Microsoft Office (experience with freight systems an advantage, training provided if not)

Solid data entry and document management skills

Previous experience in transport/logistics or administration (preferred but not essential)

Forklift Licence with experience, desirable but not essential

Requirements:

Recent National Police Check

Pre-employment drug and alcohol screening

Verifiable work references (within the last 5 years)
