About the role

The Cruising Yacht Club in Rockingham, WA is seeking a part-time Communication and Events Manager to join our team. In this key role, you will be responsible for driving the overall communication strategy and delivering a dynamic events programme to engage our members and the wider community.

What you'll be doing

Develop and implement a comprehensive communication plan to promote the club's activities, events and initiatives across various channels

Manage the club's social media platforms, website and other digital channels to keep members informed and engaged

Plan, organise and execute a diverse range of events, including social gatherings, educational workshops and networking opportunities

Collaborate with internal stakeholders to align communication and events with the club's strategic objectives

Monitor and report on the success of communication and event initiatives, making recommendations for improvements

Provide excellent customer service and serve as the primary point of contact for members and external partners

What we're looking for

Minimum 3 years of experience in a communication, events or marketing role, preferably within the hospitality or tourism industry

Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage a diverse audience

Strong project management skills and experience in planning and delivering successful events

Proficient in using various communication and social media platforms, as well as event management software

Creativity and a proven track record of developing innovative communication and engagement strategies

Passion for the hospitality and tourism industry, with a good understanding of the local market

Nice to Have:

· Experience working in a club environment.

· Graphic design or website design skills.

· Social media communication experience

· Previous experience selling and managing events and functions
