About the role
The Lodge Jamberoo' is seeking a talented Chef de Partie to join our dynamic culinary team. As a Chef de Partie, you will be responsible for overseeing a specific station or section within our award-winning kitchen, ensuring the consistent delivery of high-quality dishes to our discerning guests. This is a full-time role based in Jamberoo, NSW 2533.
What you'll be doing
Preparing, cooking and presenting dishes to our exacting standards
Supervising and training junior kitchen staff to maintain consistent food quality and presentation
Ensuring efficient workflow and timely delivery of menu items
Monitoring stock levels and ordering supplies as needed
Adhering to all relevant health, safety and hygiene regulations
Collaborating with the Head Chef to develop new menu items and improve existing dishes
What we're looking for
Minimum 3 years' experience as a Chef de Partie or equivalent role in a high-quality restaurant or hotel kitchen
Formal culinary training and qualifications, such as a Certificate III in Commercial Cookery
Excellent knowledge of food preparation techniques, kitchen operations and menu planning
Strong time management and multitasking skills to handle the demands of a fast-paced kitchen
Passion for using fresh, local ingredients to create innovative and flavourful dishes
Ability to work effectively as part of a team and demonstrate leadership qualities
Exceptional attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and food safety
