The Opportunity

St Patrick’s School, Mansfield Park is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Finance Officer to join our vibrant school community. This pivotal role is responsible for leading and managing the school’s financial operations, including accounting, budgeting, audits, payroll, school fees, and financial oversight of services such as the canteen, uniform shop, and school assets and facilities.

This is a 30 hrs per week role and we are flexible how that is worked.

About You

You are a detail-oriented finance professional with a strong background in financial management and payroll operations. You bring:

A formal tertiary qualification (minimum 2 years full-time study, e.g. Advanced Diploma) in finance, accounting, or business, or equivalent experience.

Proven experience in mid-to-high level financial operations, ideally within an educational setting.

Capable in finance and payroll software, Microsoft Excel, and financial reporting.

A collaborative and professional approach to working with staff, families, and external stakeholders.

A commitment to confidentiality, continuous improvement

You will play a key role in ensuring financial compliance, strategic planning, and operational excellence across all finance-related functions.
