We are currently seeking applications for a Senior Contract Officer, to join The South Australian Government Financing Authority at The Department of Treasury & Finance for an ongoing role
Remuneration: ASO4 - Salary Range ($76,561 - $80,256 p.a.).
About the opportunity:
The Senior Contract Officer is accountable to the Manager, Advisory Services for providing analytical support to contract managers including Principal Advisors and Senior Contract Managers (“Contract Managers") responsible for advising on, and managing, industry assistance contracts between the South Australian Government and businesses consistent with the State's economic development objectives.
The Senior Contract Officer will be required to support Contract Managers in evaluating the performance of businesses within the State that request or receive grants and/or loans from Government. The Senior Contract Officer will also support Contract Managers in monitoring and evaluating the performance of companies under contract to Government, assess claims for milestone payments, prepare reports and undertake administrative processes associated with the effective management of all industry contracts to which the Treasurer is a party.

To be successful you will have:
Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.
Ability to plan, organise and prioritise tasks and activities to achieve goals, deadlines and required outputs.
Strong attention to detail.
Ability to work collaboratively in a small team.
Ability to use initiative and work independently with minimal supervision.
Ability to identify and analyse problems and provide recommendations to complex matters.
Experience in drafting and/or preparing written correspondence to internal and external clients.
Experience in liaising with internal and external stakeholders.
Proven experience in the use of computer-based information systems (e.g. Microsoft Office Products and particularly Excel and Word).
Knowledge of business finance and business financial management practices.
